I've been working through the beginning of Romans 1, and I am really thrilled to be reading on fellowship in the Light. Father, open my eyes to what you desire me to learn this week concerning relationships and how I might really learn how to glorify You in those. Father, give me wisdom and understanding from Yourself (as shown in Colossians 1)on how to spiritually encourage others in faith, by being a child of the King. Break me if you must Father. Show me how to love selflessly in all areas, and allow me to continuously gaze on You with a fixed and stayed stare.
"First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I mention you allways in my prayers, asking that somehow by God's will I may at last succeed in coming to you. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you-that is, tha twe may be mutually encouraged by ecah other's faith, both your and mine." Romans 1: 8-12
This message has really brought light upon the Truth in christian fellowship in the Father. Paul is writing to the church at Rome, and he says I thank my GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Before he even begins his thanks is given to God because of the grace of Jesus Christ which allows us to be in the body. Reminiscing and constantly thinking about His birth, life, death, resurrection, and reign (as stated in the verses above in 1-7) grace is proclaimed in the life of those whom the Holy Spirit has imparted Himself to. "Because your faith is proclaimed in all the world." The proclamation of the church's faith is in all the world. What is faith? It is defined yes in Hebrews 11, but what is faith? Faith is centered in Truth. Faith is your belief, and your life resting on that belief. Your whole in Him. If anyone has anything to comment on faith, please do... it's a study which I will continue in the rest of my life concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. My email is katelynfisher@aol.com. Concerning the rest of this passage, "For God is my witness" This is a statement that proclaims the fact that Paul is fearfully trembling before the throne of God, he has a message delivered to him from God and he must faithfully and wholly proclaim this message as true. If he is a false prophet, God will satisfy judgement upon him for such things. I really thought of Paul Washer when I read this. "whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son." The rest of this passage really has shown me fellowship in the Light, and questioning how to encourage others especially those whom I love, and those who are in my family of faith!
Show me how I have failed you in the relationships I have obtained over the years in your body, Father. And show me how I am to love in You; whether with words or actions. Amen.
